Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks have announced the first 20 dates and European cities for the summer of 2007.
The North American dates will be announced later, and the band is expected to include 20 shows as well.
The first performance will take place on June 11 in Finland’s Olympic Stadium in Helsinki.
During a press conference in London, the band members denied that the tour was put together just to earn a lot of money. "If money was the issue, we’d be doing more than 20 shows," said Collins. "We’re all loaded enough not to worry about where the next million is coming from."
In parallel to the Genesis tour, EMI will re-release the band’s 14 CDs in 2007.
