Sarah Jessica Parker Supports Unicef

Actress Sarah Jessica Parker is a spokesperson for Unicef.

According to Britain’s ITV, the actress recently took part in an annual charity event for the organisation.  As an ambassador for Unicef, Sarah Jessica Parker explained at a press conference that she is happy that her mother first introduced her to the charity when she was young.

As a mother, the Family Stone star feels that is is important to support Unicef’s cause.  Parker, 41, explained, "I too want to promote my children just as my mother: this very important sense of responsibility, obligation, ones own place in the world regardless of age and the very American act of volunteering."

The Unicef Trick-or Treat event started in 1950 in Philadelphia, when children went door-to-door collecting milk cartons to raise money to help the children of the world who had been affected by the Second World War.
