Nelly Furtado To Sing at the Grey Cup

Nelly Furtado will be performing at the half-time show for the Grey Cup.

The Canadian Football League (CFL) confirmed on Friday that they have chosen the Victoria singer to perform.

Furtado, who had much success with her third CD, Loose, follows in the footsteps of The Black Eyed Peas, Bryan Adams, Sam Roberts, Shania Twain and The Tragically Hip, who have all performed half-time shows.

The national anthem will be performed by the 19 year-old winner of Canadian Idol, Eva Avila.

The Grey Cup, the biggest game in Canadian football, will take place on November 25 in Winnipeg.
