According to Billboard, Courtney Love has gained control of her life, and has been drug free for more than one year. The star of the movie Larry Flynt was in detox to beat her drug addiction.
The 42-year-old has no choice but to take care of herself. She admitted using drugs during her probation period. At this point, the star knew that she had no choice. She explained, "I was backed up against a wall."
Last September, Love was sentenced to three years probation, and was ordered to go into rehabilitation. The widow of singer Kurt Cobain pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault of a woman that was at one of her old friend’s houses.
Courtney Love is working on her next album with Linda Perry, from the group 4 Non Blondes.
Love emphasized, that the final result is "a very personal album."
