According to the British television station ITV, a media frenzy surrounded this baby boy when he arrived at Heathrow airport. Madonna’s personal assistant and bodyguards travelled with the boy, David Bandha. David was driven to his new home.
At the airport, and for the entire drive home, photographers from around the world took pictures of this child. The one-year-old boy was living in poverty at an orphanage in Malawi. Madonna has obtained interim custody of the child for 18 months.
Experts are estimating that Madonna will be subject to a few tedious procedures before officially adopting David. An organization for human rights contested the adoption, requesting that an adoption not be accepted so hastily.
Boniface Mandere, from Eye of the Child organization explained, "The court seems to have made a decision based on Madonna’s wealth. But being a good parent is not about money."
