During a recent appearance on an American television show hosted by Tyra Banks, Richie insisted that her friendship with Hilton is over.
The adopted daughter of singer Lionel Richie explained, "We haven’t been friends in about three years. There was no falling out. We’re just not the same people."
On September 22, the two celebrities were filmed while talking to eachother on the telephone. Hilton had called Richie to wish her a happy birthday. Richie, who was putting gas in her car at the time, was so excited to hear from her former best friend that she dropped her telephone.
The phone call again sparked rumours of a reconciliation, although Richie denied that one will happen.
