Paul McCartney Doing Well

At the moment, Paul McCartney, who is in the middle of a divorce, is doing well.

According to People magazine, the former Beatle is going through a difficult period, but is managing to keep in good spirits.  Music is helping McCartney to escape the bad times.

During a recent press conference in London for the release of his new classical music CD, Ecce Cor Meum (Behold My Heart), the singer said, "I’m doing fine. It’s okay. I am enjoying music. It’s something that sustains me."

The inspiration for his new disc came from his late wife Linda, who died of breast cancer in 1998.  Sir McCartney added, "It was started when Linda was alive. It has a lot of my feelings for her in it. When she died it stalled me and it took a year or so to before I could get back into it. And the interlude in the middle, the sad melody, is what got me back into it."

The star added that he does find the divorce procedure from Heather Mills to be difficult.  Mills, 37, and McCartney, 64, separated last May after four years of marriage.  They have a two year-old daughter, Beatrice.
