Spielberg May Direct Jurassic Park IV

Director Steven Spielberg is interested in making a fourth Jurassic Park film.

After directing the first two Jurassic Park films, Spielberg left Joe Johnston to direct the third installment, which was not as successful.  According to rumours conveyed by Sky News, if Joe Johnston doesn’t want to direct the next film, Spielberg would take back the director’s chair.

The next film about the dinosaur park should be in theatres in 2008.  The selection of a director will need to take place soon in order to meet the expected release.  Few details are available about the film, although some scenes will be shot in Hawaii.  The project’s working title is Jurassic Park IV: The Extinction.
