Rush Finishes Next Album

The Canadian music trio Rush has completed their next disc, which will be released in 2007.

The news was confirmed by the band’s drummer, Neil Peart.  In an interview with Billboard magazine, Peart revealed that they have already recorded eight songs for the disc.

The drummer, who also writes the lyrics for the group’s songs, said that he took his inspiration from a cross-country motorcyle trip in the United States.

The yet-untitled CD will be the first release from Rush since 2002’s Vapor Trails.

Rush is formed by singer and bassist Geddy Lee, guitarist Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart.
