While making his debut on The Late Show with David Letterman, Timberlake was grilled with questions from the host regarding an interview that he had done while smoking marijuana. The SexyBack singer simply replied by saying, "I make a promise to you I try not to do drugs while I’m doing interviews. I’m completely drunk right now."
Letterman also interrogated Timberlake, 25, about his romance with actress Cameron Diaz, 34. The young man explained that he didn’t want to go into details about his love life.
Regarding the infamous appearance at the Super Bowl with Janet Jackson, Letterman asked Timberlake, "It was all part of the deal, right? It was all planned, pre-meditated? "
