A Prestigious Cast for Helen Hunt’s Directorial Debut

Colin Firth, Matthew Broderick and Bette Midler will all star in the film Then She Found Me, a drama which will mark the directorial debut of actress Helen Hunt.

Hunt has been working for eight years to bring the book by Elinor Lipman to the silver screen.  Filming is set to begin soon in Brooklyn, New York.

Hunt, who also stars in the movie, will play a schoolteacher who is found by her biological mother during a tumultuous time in her life.  Matthew Broderick will play Hunt’s character’s husband, while Firth will play a man she meets through one of her students.

Alice Arlen wrote the screenplay adaptation.  Vic Levin and Hunt teamed together to make the final touches to the project.
