Rolling Stones Show Cancelled

The Rolling Stones cancelled their concert yesterday in Spain.

Mick Jagger, the band’s lead singer, is ill with laryngitis.  The legendary rock group was scheduled for a show in the city of Valladolid.  At the last minute it was announced that the performance would be cancelled, as Jagger’s doctor recommended that he not sing.  The 63 year-old singer has been having problems with his throat.

In a statement released to the media, Jagger said, "I am very sorry to be cancelling this show. I always love playing in Spain, but unfortunately I have no other choice and I apologise to everyone who bought tickets."

The 37,000 ticket holders will be reimbursed.  The Rolling Stones are hoping that Jagger will be able to perform at their next show in London over the weekend.
