According to the Associated Press, the actor’s wife officially announced Kirby’s passing. It was recently revealed that the star was suffering from lukemia, which took his life.
Kirby mostly played secondary roles in films, but was best known for his work in the movie When Harry Met Sally. The actor also starred with Billy Crystal in City Slickers in 1991. Other movie credits included Good Morning Vietnam, Donnie Brasco and Sleepers. Recently he starred in the television series Entourage with Mark Wahlberg.
