Timberlake, 25, and his girlfriend, Cameron Diaz, recently decided to learn more about his family’s beginnings. "I’ve had my genealogy studied and I want to say that I am of British descent," the singer told MTV.
Timberlake added, "There was a British lad who was in a war, not sure which war, but he ran away from the war because he fell in love with an Indian girl, and that’s where my family tree started."
The pop star also talked about his childhood, saying, "I grew up in a small town. If I showed you where I lived you’d really think I’d come a long way. I had really awkward hair and terrible skin and I was really scrawny, I looked like a ‘broccolini’, not even a broccoli. I looked like a broccolini because I was long and skinny and (my hair) blossomed out on the top – I was a really weird-looking kid."
Justin Timberlake will launch his new CD, SexyBack, in September.
