Avril Lavigne, although only 21 years old, married Sum 41’s signer. According to People Magazine, official celebrations took place on July 15th, in Santa Barbara.
Avril’s husband, Deryck Whibley, 26, is also a Canadian.
The wedding vows were pronounced under an arch covered in white flowers. For the occasion, Avril Lavigne was wearing a Vera Wang dress and carried a generous bouquet of white roses. Her father, John Lavigne, walked her down the aisle to the arch.
The Lavigne/Whibley couple met in 2004. The same year, they bought a house in Los Angeles.
Avril Lavigne is now working on her third album. Her first two, Let Go (2002) and Under My Skin (2004) topped the charts around the world. Recently, Avril lent her voice to funny possum Heather, a character in the animated comedy Over The Hedge (2006).
