Chan, who was attending a concert on the invitation of singer Jonathan Lee, has apologized to his fans, as well as the people of his home town of Hong Kong for his actions. The 52 year-old star admitted that he was drunk.
Candy Chea, a local radio personality, interviewed Chan following the incident on Monday. According to the star, he, "forgot there were so many people watching".
Hong Kong newspapers were quick to tell the story of Chan’s actions. After finding his way onto the stage, Chan yelled obscenities at the crowd, and stopped the band six times.
