Girls Aloud Deny Split Rumours

Several rumours have been circulating that the all-girl band Girls Aloud are planning to split.  The band says there is no truth to those reports.

Band member Cheryl Tweedy has spoken out against the rumours.  Girls Aloud has released three albums, and work has already began on their fourth.  Their last release, Chemistry, was a huge success.

Tweedy said, "After our tour finished we went into the studio to record three new songs for the Greatest Hits. We’ve come up with six tracks we love and are now thinking we should do a new studio album instead."

Cheryl Tweedy is set to marry Aresenal footballer Ashley Cole this weekend.  She added, "When Ashley and I get back from honeymoon we’ll have a meeting with our record label and see about putting back the Greatest Hits."

Tweedy is also optimistic about her band’s place in music right now, saying, "Pop is on a roll right now with Lily Allen and Nelly Furtado – and we want to continue being a part of it."
