A Second Chance for Kylie Minogue

Last week, singer Kylie Minogue was happy and feeling alive while visiting London.

According to Hello magazine, the pop music star was also full of life in a recent photograph session in her native Australia.  Minogue, 38, will soon be back on her Showgirl tour.

Now that she has completed her battle against breast cancer, the Burning Up singer is feeling strong, and admits that she has a new understanding of life.  During her illness, chemotherapy took all of her energy and strength.  Minogue explained, "I was pretty compassionate before – but now I have a much deeper understanding of what it is to have a trial to go through. I’ve made some friends I will cherish forever. When I visit a children’s hospital, which I always did before, they now know that I know."

Regarding her upcoming concerts, Minogue realizes that she will need to prepare her body again for the shows.  She said, "I don’t have strength, I don’t have stamina, I don’t have everything that I took for granted before. So really I’ve got a mountain to climb, but I don’t fancy hanging around at the bottom of the mountain."

Kylie Minogue has become a symbol against breast cancer, helping other women to gain the strength needed to fight the battle.
