The star of the films Primal Fear and Pretty Woman, among others, has always had an interest in the hotel world. Gere has partnered with Russell Hernandez to build a grand hotel on a 14 acre estate, which currently has buildings that date back to the 18th century.
"When we have permission we will start to figure out who is going to run it," said Hernandez, citing that the historic buildings may cause difficulty in gaining approval for the project.
Richard Gere will star in the upcoming film Spring Break in Bosnia, in which a cameraman, and two journalists travel to Bosnia to attempt to unveil the biggest war criminal. During their journey, they are thought to be CIA agents, and their target is then targetting them.
