Madonna and her director husband, Guy Ritchie, 37, have already started the adoption process, and will be adding a baby from Vista Del Mar, California to their family, according to the National Enquirer.
The adoption itself will not take place until after the star finishes her Confessions tour in September. A source close to the family said, "So far they’ve been interviewed and fingerprinted to begin the process."
Madonna and Ritchie have a son, Rocco, 5. Madonna is also the mother of a 9 year-old daughter, Lourdes Maria, from her previous relationship with Carlos Leon. The couple have been married since December 22, 2000.
