According to the Associated Press, the woman is free after serving the past ten months behind bars in a Philadelphia detention centre. A swarm of fans was waiting outside to congratulate the star.
Lil’ Kim, who stands only 4’11" was wearing white and carrying a bouquet of white roses. The gathered fans had only good things and words of encouragement to say as she climbed into a Rolls Royce. As she left, she told the crowd, "I love you".
The prison sentence was a result of her being convicted of lying to a federal jury regarding a battle between her gang and their rival, Capone-N-Noreaga. A shooting between the gangs took place, and Lil’ Kim took the stand at the trial and said that she didn’t witness the shooting.
Lil’ Kim will be under house arrest for the next 30 days, and then will be under supervised release for the next three years.
