Rawson Marshall Thurber (Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story) will direct the project based on a screenplay that he adapted from the book.
The story, which marked the literary launch of Chabon (Wonder Boys), chronicles the last summer of Art Bechtein’s youth and revolves around the eccentric circle of his friends, Jane (Miller) and Cleveland (Sarsgaard).
The actor who will play Art Bechstein has not yet been named. Filming is set to begin this fall in Pennsylvania.
