Oasis Album Picked as Best of All Time

The disc Definitely Maybe from the English band Oasis has been chosen as the best recording of all time.

A survey of 40,000 music amatuers around the world were selected by NME magazine to rate the albums of the 1990s.

Definitely Maybe was recorded for less than $160,000 US.  When it was released in 1994, it sold very rapidly, earning more than $7 million in one week.

Oasis knocked out the previous first-place holder, The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
