According to the website IOL, a representative for the director of the films Virgin Suicides and Lost in Translation confirmed that Coppola is three months along in her pregnancy.
Coppola, 35, presented her film Marie-Antoinette at the Cannes Film Festival, where she and her boyfriend announced the news.
Coppola was previously married to Spike Jonze, who directed Being John Malkovich. They divorced in 2003.
