Thomas Weldon was ordered by a Los Angeles court on June 6, 2003 to stay away from the star. He is not legally permitted to come within 200 meters of the Miss Congeniality star.
The sentence was for a term of three years, which is now coming to an end. Bullock, 41, has asked the court to extend the restraining order. On May 31, Judge Marion Johnson will hear the case and consider the star’s request.
Thomas Weldon has been hospitalised in a psychiatric institution because he was found to be a paranoid schizophrenic. He had followed Bullock across the country, as well as sending numerous letters, emails, and faxes.
