Katie Holmes Denies Post-Partum Depression

Tom Cruise is denying the stories being reported by the media that his fiance, Katie Holmes, is suffering from post-partum depression.

According to ContactMusic, the star of Batman is denying that Holmes cries on a whim since the birth of their daughter, Suri, who was born on April 18.

A representative for the Mission: Impossible star said, "Those reports are not true. Ms Holmes is doing wonderfully."

As a member of the Church of Scientology, Cruise’s views on post-natal depression are well known.  Cruise himself was openly criticising actress Brooke Shields in 2005, when she announced that she suffered from the illness after delivering her daughter, Rowan.  Cruise, 43, blasted Shields for using medications to alleviate the depression.  He said, "You can use vitamins to help a woman through those things."
