According to the BBC, the founding member of the legendary musical group the Beatles is divorcing Mills. The two were married in June, 2002 in Ireland. McCartney met Mills while attending charity event that she was organising.
McCartney, who is known around the world from his Beatles success, was given a royal title in 1997. The wealthy musician is estimated to be worth more than $1 billion U.S., and no pre-nuptial agreement was made between the two.
Mills founded the Heather Mills Health Trust, which is an organisation which recycles prosthetic limbs for amputees. Mills herself has only one leg as the result of a motocycle accident in 1993.
