The American actor has already agreed to star as the charasmatic singer. The project is the idea of director Nick Egan, who worked with INXS on several of their music videos.
Egan, who wants to call the film Slide Away, was a close friend of the singer who ended his own life in a Sydney, Australia hotel room.
Last September, with the help of a television reality show, J.D. Fortune was selected as the band’s new lead singer.
