Tom Hanks’ Favourite Films

Actor Tom Hanks has chosen 2001: A Space Odyssey as his favourite film of all time, but has a particular fondness for four others.

Hanks, who recently shared his favourites with a German newspaper, also chose Elephant, directed by Gus Van Sant, The Godfather, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, and Fargo, directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, as his other favourites.

Hanks is a two-time Oscar winner for his performances in Philadelphia and Forrest Gump.  To complete his top-five list of favourite films, Hanks chose Boogie Nights.  The Paul Thomas Anderson film was a story about the porn industry in the 1970s.

Tom Hanks can be seen in theatres soon in the highly anticipated film, Da Vinci Code.
