The Killers Sued for $16 Million

The rock group The Killers is being sued by their former manager for $16 million.

The suit was filed Tuesday in a Los Angeles court by the band’s former manager, who accuses the rockers of contract breaches, and that their new manager interfered with the relationship between band members and their former manager.

Braden Merrick, the former manager, discovered the four men in 2002.  In March, 2003, he helped the band record their first disc, Hot Fuss, which sold more than 6 million copies world wide.

Merrick’s company, From the Future, is asking for $15 million in damages as the result of a breach of contract, as well as one million dollars that he personally had invested into creating the band.
