In the March edition of Seventeen magazine, the singer revealed that she is dating one of her band members, Braxton Olita. She went on to say that after becoming ill while in Japan, she took a 10-day Hawaiian vacation with her new love.
She explained, "We’ve been really close for a while now, since he’s been in the band a few months."
Although she is happy, she added that she is proceeding with caution. "It’s scary for me to actually have a boyfriend," she told Seventeen. "You give your heart up and it might be broken."
Simpson’s sister, Jessica Simpson, has recently filed for divorce. When questioned about if that was the reason for her hesitation with love, she responded, "You do what you gotta do, but for me, I think marriage is a hard thing to get through."
