The sequel will be called Hood vs. Evil. The budget for the new film is reportedly double the amount of the first film, which was made for less than $20 million.
Hood vs. Evil will follow Red Riding Hood when she encounters a mysterious group called the Sisters of the Hood. She is then helped by a character called Nicky Flippers to solve the case of Hansel and Gretel. The grandmother and other amusing characters from the first film will also return for the sequel.
Hoodwinked features the voices of Anne Hathaway, Glenn Close, Jim Belushi, Patrick Warburton, Anthony Anderson and rapper Xzibit. Producers confirm that these stars will also be part of the sequel.
