In an interview with MTV, the band members announced that their new disc should be on store shelves by May 9, 2006.
Initially, the group wanted to make a trilogy including 38 songs. Only after learning that the third disc would cost them another year in production time did they change their minds.
The CD, entitled Stadium Arcadium, will be the ninth studio release from the band. The first single from the album will be Danni California.
