The 23 year-old pop singer and her husband have named the baby Sean Preston.
The singer posted this comment on her official website, "We are ecstatic to announce the birth of our son! Everyone is happy, healthy and doing wonderful. Thank you for all your love and well wishes!!"
According to Access Hollywood, the singer and Federline arrived at UCLA Hospital at 5:00 a.m. with a police escourt. In a few hours, mother Lynne Spears and sister Jamie Lynn joined Britney at the hospital.
Spears occupied 8 rooms of the fifth floor for family members and security guards. The bill for the extra space was $20,000 per night.
