Filming was to take place in New Orleans, Louisiana, the place hardest hit by the storm.
In the film, Miller will play the role of Edie Sedgwick, the muse to Andy Warhol.
The star explained, "We were supposed to start in November in New Orleans, but because of what’s happened there we can’t do it this year, I wouldn’t have thought. It’s such a tragedy over there."
