Difficulties Filming The Da Vinci Code

Production of the movie The Da Vinci Code ran into some difficulties yesterday in London.

Director Ron Howard is doing the film, based on the best-seller by Dan Brown.  Filming was abruptly terminated yesterday.  There were religious protesters in front of the Lincoln Cathedral that is being used as the Westminster Abbey.

The producers succeeded in convincing the protesters to let them continue filming, after promising a donation of $180 000 to a religious congregation.

During this incident, actor Tom Hanks was driven back to his hotel where he was greeted by a crowd of admirers.

The Da Vinci Code has many well known stars.  In addition to Tom Hanks, there is also Audrey Tautou, Jean Reno, Ian McKellen and Alfred Molina.  The film should be in theatres in May 2006.
