He leaves behind his wife, Kayce Freed, two children, Elizabeth, 25, and Christopher, age 23. He is also survived by a sister, Sarah Jennings.
Jennings, who was born in Canada, worked for ABC News since 1964.

Newscaster Peter Jennings died yesterday at his home in New York at the age of 67. He had been recently diagnosed with cancer.
