The rockers are currently in discussions with Hollywood studios to produce an adaptation.
The lead singer of the group, Billie Joe Armstrong, feels that it’s important to have complete control over the project. He said: "There’s a lot of strange people out there in Hollywood, so we have to stick to our guns."
"We want to have control over everything that’s on the album.", he added.
"If we’re going to look at a film, we have to think of it the same way as how important the record is to us."
