Brothers Joe and Anthony Russo (Arrested Development) will co-direct the project, and the screenplay was written by Mike LeSieur. Owen Wilson is producing the film.
Owen Wilson will play a best man, Randy Dupree, who outstays his welcome in the home of the newlyweds.
The studio wants to start production for the film soon, possibly in August.
Wilson can be seen currently in the comedy Wedding Crashers, and Kate Hudson stars in the suspense film The Skeleton Key which will be released on August 12.
