Eminem and Apple Settle Suit

American rapper Eminem and information giant Apple Computer Inc. have settled a lawsuit concerning endorsement rights.

In February, 2004, Eminem’s company Eight Mile Style filed a lawsuit in Detroit against Apple and their publicity company TBWA/Chiat/Day.  Eminem claimed that Apple used his song for an advertisement without obtaining permission.

Lawyers for Eight Mile Style stated, "The parties were able to reach an amicable resolution."

Apple used the song Lose Yourself in an ad for iPod and the iTunes product.  The commericials were shown for three months without permission from the singer.
