This year, 21 full-length films from 14 different countries will be in the competition for the prestigious Palme d’Or prize. The 12 day event will conclude on May 21.
Many stars will be walking the red carpet during the festivities, including Sharon Stone, Bruce Willis, Jessica Lange, Ewan McGrego, Natalie Portman, Penelope Cruz, Catherine Deneuve and Juliette Binoche.
Star Wars Episode III – Revenge of the Sith will be presented as a pre-premiere at the gala. The festival directors will give filmmaker George Lucas an award to recognize his entire career.
