Lemming to Open at Cannes

The film Lemming by German filmmaker Dominik Moll will be presented at the opening of the 58th Cannes Film Festival.

Tuesday it was announced that 20 films have been entered into the presitgious European competition which takes place from May 11-22.

The movies chosen are all full-length fiction films.  There aren’t any animated films or documentaries this year, in contrast with last year.

Many great directors will be competing.  David Cronenberg, Atom Egoyan, Jim Jarmusch, Wim Wenders, Lars von Trier, and Gus Van Sant are all in the race.
