Eddie Murphy to Play Johnny Blaze

DreamWorks and Imagine have hired the writers behind Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg to write Johnny Blaze.

Eddie Murphy will take the lead role in this action comedy. He will play a retired rapper who is now working undercover in the world of hip-hop. He will solve some crimes, and make us laugh.

Brian Grazer of Imagine is producing the film. He was also the producer for The Nutty Professor and The Nutty Professor 2.

Murphy begins work soon providing his voice to the donkey in Shrek 3.
