Spielberg Wants to Make Baywatch Movie

According to the New York Post, Spielberg has bought the rights for the film and will beging shooting next year.  Baywatch had a successful run on television, seen weekly on NBC for 11 years.  Actor David Hasselhoff played the role of a lifeguard on Malibu’s beaches.  The series has been televised in more than 140 countries.
