The project was inspired by the film Internal Affairs, made in Hong Kong.
The story, set in Boston, follows the story of a gangster (Damon) who infiltrates the police department, and a police officer (DiCaprio) who infiltrates the gangs. The two discover that there is a mole in the other’s camp, and then race to find each other’s identity.
Anderson will play a police officer who develops a relationship with both men.
William Monahan (Kingdom of Heaven) wrote the script.
