Purfume for Dustin Hoffman

Constantine Films will produce the movie for the actors, who were approached last fall.  Hoffman will play Guiseppe Baldini, a purfume maker, while Rickman will play Antoine, the father of a young woman who becomes the obsession of Jean-Baptist Grenouille.  British actor Ben Whishaw will play the part of Grenouille, which is the lead role.

Grenouille’s obsessions turn deadly when he starts a quest to create the scent of the young virgin.  The story is set in 18th century Paris.
