The film will be directed by Rob Cohen and produced by Neal Moritz, according to Variety.
Reeves will play Sinbad the sailer, the legendary character from The Arabian Nights. In the film, which takes place in 8th century China, Sinbad and his crew are on a mission to find Aladdin’s Lamp. During the journey, Sinbad battles fantastical creatures and a rebellious Chinese general.
