Zeta-Jones Refuses to Play Murderer

Catherine Zeta-Jones has refused a lucrative lead role as a serial killer, because one of her victims is an infant.

The star was to play Marther Beck, a 1940’s murderer in the film Lonely Hearts.

The actress who has two children, Dylan, 4, and baby Carys, with husband Micheal Douglas, refused the role.  A close source confirmed, "As a mother herself, Catherine felt the baby murder was ‘too close to home."

The film’s creators are now considering two other actresses, Kate Winslet and Kate Beckinsale.  However, they are aware that these actresses may refuse the role for the same reason.
