Writer Arthur Miller Passes Away

Arthur Miller, the legendary theatre writer who gave us Death of a Salesman, died last Thursday night at the age of 89.

The winner of a Pulitzer prize passed away Thursday in his home, after a battle with cancer.  His family was beside the author until the end.

Miller was born Arthur Asher Miller, on October 7, 1915 in New York.  He had received a Pulitzer prize for Death of a Salesman in 1949, at the age of 33.  The main character in this famous play has become a symbol of the American dream turned nightmare.

Miller was married 3 times, once to actress Marilyn Monroe, which brought him worldwide visibility.
