Disney Considering a Sequel to Toy Story

Disney Studios may create a new division of computer animation in order to do a sequel to Toy Story.

According to some preliminary information, Toy Story 3 may be out in 2008.

Disney holds the rights for all films distributed by Pixar Studios.  The two companies have decided to separate after many years of collaborative work together.

If Disney proceeds in this direction, they may be offering one new major film per year.

The directors of the studio closed their animation department a few months ago.  It is in this studio that classics such as Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck were produced.

Disney job cuts and restructured studios, show they are pulling away from traditional methods in favour of computer animation. Cook called the new division a "new beginning" for feature animation.
